Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network

The Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network is a collaborative program between UNC-Chapel Hill, NC State University, Duke University and NC Central University to accelerate the growth of high-potential companies through the hands-on help of seasoned serial entrepreneurs and their networks of investors. Tapping the region’s veteran entrepreneurs, the Network has created a team of Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIR's) that helps identify marketable innovations at universities and startups with high-growth potential. The result? Since 2012, the Blackstone EIR’s have met with more than 800 companies, and those companies have raised more than $400 million.

Carolina Angel Network

The Carolina Angel Network (CAN) brings together the UNC-Chapel Hill entrepreneurial community, University alumni network and innovative private companies to empower the businesses that drive our future. Its mission is to support the Carolina entrepreneurial community with an angel investing platform and co-investment fund (the Carolina Growth Fund) that engages and leverages the power of our alumni network. The CAN operational team and investment platform exist within the UNC Office of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Development and works in partnership with the UNC School of Law and the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.

The Carolina Angel Network actively engages and matches UNC-Chapel Hill alumni network expertise with portfolio companies to support growth and success. The global Carolina community offers a uniquely powerful opportunity for networking and guidance from industry experts and successful entrepreneurial leaders. CAN members work actively to connect CAN portfolio companies with the UNC-Chapel Hill network to foster collaboration and further success.
