Have you developed a partnership with an organization or business as part of your strategic plan? Need information on what to watch out for, what to make sure to include in an agreement, what are the most common legal mistakes, and how to avoid legal issues from arising?

Whether a new venture succeeds or fails depends so much on making communication very clear between co-founders and partners. Not doing so can cause enormous problems later.

Learn when and when not to call yourselves “partners,” how partnership agreements relate to intellectual property, sharing of profits, and distribution of equity, and also how startup needs will evolve over time and often changes partnership agreements. Have a chance to ask questions and listen to others’ questions!

Led by a legal expert with experience counseling both for-profit and non-profit social enterprises (who has unique expertise in legal matters for social ventures in NC but also expertise for startups), the workshop will additionally include a Q&A session to serve as open office hours to entrepreneurs (or aspiring) who have questions.
