A Tale of Three Cities: The Evolutions of Economic Development
Cities across the country are looking to Raleigh and Wake County as models for how to grow and continue to attract top talent to the region. But each city faces its own challenges and we are constantly learning from one another. This year’s Economic Development Forum will explore this.
Presenters include:
– Michael Huber, president and CEO, Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce
– Courtney Ross, chief economic development officer, Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce
These leaders then will be joined by Adrienne Cole, president and CEO of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, for a panel discussion on the benefits and challenges of rapid growth in an ever-evolving economy. The panelists will take a closer look at how other cities are leveraging the type of success we have had in our area to transform their own communities. They also will discuss how they are addressing the issues that come with this expansion, including the support of equitable economic development and how to build a strong and diverse workforce.
The Economic Development Forum will conclude with an opportunity for questions posed by the audience.
