Carl Baumann

Entrepreneur-in-Residence, 1789 Venture Lab; SCORE Mentor

As a SCORE mentor, Carl Baumann counsels small businesses and non-profits. He coaches in the SoftLaunch and StartUp-UNC programs at the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, assisting entrepreneurs in starting commercial and social enterprises. He possesses experience in business and strategic planning, management, finance, and accounting, having worked for First Citizens Bank and Miller Brewing Company.

Baumann teaches business planning and other business seminars for SCORE and has been a guest lecturer on sustainable development and social enterprise at the UNC School of Social Work. He earned his bachelor’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and his Executive MBA from the Peter Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University.
