Associate Director, Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School
Kris Hergert is an associate director at the UNC Kenan-Flager Business School. He coaches undergraduate and graduate students around entrepreneurship and innovation careers as founders, funders, and growth executives. Hergert manages the Carolina Challenge, a campuswide business venture competition, and serves as the point person for alumni engagement and UNC-Chapel Hill campus partnerships. He also manages and implements the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies global marketing plan. Hergert previously worked as an associate director, leading and teaching MBA candidates concentrating in entrepreneurship, startup, venture capital and technology pursuits. He travels frequently to New York City, Boston, Seattle, the Bay area and Los Angeles to advance alumni partnerships and corporate relationships. On a personal note, he is an accomplished athlete who rowed Division I crew and finished the Ironman, an aficionado of rare coffee, and a consultant for entrepreneurial ventures.
