Associate Dean for Development and Alumni Affairs, UNC School of Media and Journalism
Wendy Borman is the associate dean for development and alumni affairs at the UNC School of Media and Journalism. She joined the school in April 2015 after a decade as the assistant dean for external relations at the UNC School of Education, where she was responsible for cultivating support among key constituencies and collaborating with faculty and staff to help strengthen schools and communities across North Carolina. Previously, she was director of development for the UNC School of Education, where she orchestrated the largest capital campaign in the school’s history. She also worked in the University’s Office of Development as a major gifts officer.
Before coming to Carolina, Borman was vice president for institutional advancement at Manchester College. Her other experience includes ten years in various posts at Carnegie Mellon University, including director of development for the H. J. Heinz III School of Public Affairs, assistant director of the Development Division and Campaign for Carnegie Mellon and associate director for alumni relations.
