2019 AMWHO at UNC Regional Conference

January 25, 2019 - January 27, 2019

The American Mock World Health Organization is a conference simulation of the World Health Assembly. The theme of the 2019 regional conference at UNC will focus on the social, economic, geographical, and environmental gaps surrounding the conversation of food.

During the weekend of January 25-27, 2019, delegates will represent the stances of countries, media outlets, non-governmental organizations, and for the first time, multinational corporations to draft policy proposals.

This year’s theme, The Global Food Predicament: Equity, Access, Transparency encourages delegates to collaborate to form resolutions addressing the gaps involving food equity around the world. We encourage all undergraduate and graduate students to attend this informative experience and hope that this conference will illustrate the challenges and rewards of crafting novel and innovative globalhealth policies.

Register by January 6, 2019 for the early bird price of only $55 (and receive an additional $10 discount if you are a delegation member)! The registration fee includes delegate materials, most meals and snacks (two breakfasts, two lunches, and a banquet dinner), presentations from distinguished professors and guest speakers, and access to all conference events.

You can find more information and registration steps here: www.uncamwho.org/2019.
