NOTE: Priority will be given to individuals and teams who are a part of the Harvey Award process.

Innovate Carolina’s Design Thinking Lead Liz Chen will lead a four-hour, interactive workshop to 1) expose faculty to the design thinking process, methods, and mindsets and 2) equip faculty with the skills to apply design thinking to their Harvey Award proposals and other funding proposals. The design thinking approach will strengthen faculty members’ ability to understand real world challenges from the perspective of their population of interest, encourage trans-disciplinary collaboration, foster creativity, and assess the sustainability of their proposed project.

This is a great opportunity for collaborators and teammates (including graduate assistants) to learn more about design thinking.
