Fireside Chats are a continuing series of talks hosted by Launch Chapel Hill. These conversations seek to showcase a broad range of entrepreneurs who are making an impact in their field, as well as introduce and connect these people to the Launch Chapel Hill and Triangle community. Our first chat highlights Kasper Kubica and David Spratte, co-founders of Carpe — the first all over body sweat management brand known for its category-leading hand and foot antiperspirants. Carpe was founded in 2015 by lifelong hyperhidrosis sufferers David Spratte (UNC ’17) and Kasper Kubica (Duke ’17) when they were college sophomores. The duo developed an antiperspirant lotion, a solution to sweaty hands and feet, and have been selling it with growing success since the summer of 2015.

The two saw a need in the market for an easy and affordable solution to their sweat problem and as a result, launched Carpe after spending over a year perfecting their original formula. This innovation has developed a loyal and passionate following from both consumers and dermatologists. Carpe is now available in more than 9,000 stores nationwide including CVS and Target.
