Director of Inclusive Student Excellence, UNC Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affair
Ada Wilson serves as director of inclusive student excellence within the UNC Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs (DMA). In her role, Wilson designs and implements signature programs for prospective middle and high school students and current UNC-Chapel Hill students; supervises staff responsible for executing recruitment programs and building community for Carolina students; facilitates access to high-impact educational opportunities for underrepresented students; monitors campus climate and provides opportunities for student engagement; manages DMA’s corporate advisory partners group; and directs DMA’s Summer Institutes and College to Corporate program. Wilson specializes in program design and curriculum development for high-impact, co-curricular activities; student development techniques; and engaged community building through intentional collaboration.
A two-time graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, Wilson uses her undergraduate degree from the School of Media and Journalism and her JD from the UNC School of Law to assist students in navigating complex community landscapes at the University and beyond.
