Program Manager, North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute
Andrew Kant is the program manager of the North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute. He initially became interested in bioentrepreneurship during graduate school, as an alternative to traditional career paths. Subsequently he co-founded the 501(c)3 nonprofit Carolina Student Biotechnology Network, helping students learn more about career alternatives focused on entrepreneurship. Later in his schooling, he interned at the UNC Office of Technology Development and co-authored a paper on entrepreneurship education. Prior to graduate school, Kant was a fellow at the Food and Drug Administration’s National Center for Toxicological Research and Whitney Laboratory at the University of Florida.
