Marissa Carmi

Marissa studies Indigenous political theorizing and is particularly interested in Indigenous conceptualizations of nationhood and citizenship. She lives on 30 acres in rural North Carolina and enjoys cooking with the fruits and vegetables that she grows in her garden and spending time outdoors with her dogs. Through CIPG, Marissa hopes to enhance the skills she has developed over the past five years as a resource to tribal nations and tribal organizations designing and administering community development programs.
