Marvin Espinoza-Leiva

Graduate Student
Education, Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship, School of Education

Marvin is an education management professional working on founding a charter school founded upon the combined principles of liberatory education and technological skill development to serve its community. Outside of graduate school, he loves learning biographies and historical accounts of not only great American figures like Theodore Roosevelt and Arnold Schwarzenegger but also great education pioneers for disadvantaged Black and Brown children like William J. Moore, Rafe Esquith, and the Oakland Community Schools. With CIPG, he hopes to develop the skills and connections to found his school and integrate it into the community and all of its structures, community resources, and members. That means that he will have to work across disciplines and institutions–that’s exactly the skills and abilities CIPG develops.
