Rachel Miller

Graduate Student
Department of Health Policy and Management, Gillings School of Global Public Health

Rachel is studying federal health policy with an equity lens in reference to who decides how much healthcare people receive and how they pay for it. Her previous research interests have been in disability advocacy, policy, and awareness and the provisions within the health care system. She has traveled to five different continents and is always down to visit a local brewery or coffee shop. She currently works as a Contact Tracer for North Carolina and is interested in studying the effects of COVID-19 on health care provisions. Through CIPG, she plans to attain a certificate that would allow her to use tools of innovation and systems thinking to expand our current healthcare system.
