UNC Researchers Advance HIV Research in Partnership with GlaxoSmithKline

For David Margolis, MD, Director of the UNC HIV Cure Center, treating the HIV virus and its symptoms simply isn’t enough. Instead, he and his team at the UNC Cure Center and Collaboratory of AIDS Researchers for Eradication (CARE), are working with the end goal in sight: a cure. They have partnered with GlaxoSmithKline, which is investing $4 million a year for five years to fund this research.
