Amy Kranz

Postdoctoral Fellow

The entrepreneurial bug bit Amy at a young age; as an early adopter to the beanie baby trend, her business buying and selling the stuffed toys was a quick success. She later pursued a bachelor’s degree in management with an emphasis in marketing. Upon graduating, Amy worked for a financial advising firm, which turned into a role in pharmaceutical sales. Having discovered a passion for the sciences, she went back to school to pursue a doctorate in pharmacy. There, she researched the outcomes of hepatitis C treatment in patients with substance use disorder. Working with an underserved patient population fueled an interest in patient advocacy, she found a home for that interest in a postdoctoral fellowship studying medication safety and pharmacovigilance, which she will complete June 2021. As a Venture Catalyst Fellow, she looks forward to fusing my experiences in business and the sciences and learning more about early-stage business development.
