Benjamin Woods, PhD

Postdoctoal Fellow
Department of Biology

Benjamin has a PhD in molecular genetics and microbiology from Duke University. Prior to graduate school, he worked for two years for a biotech startup. Currently, he is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His expertise is in molecular genetics, fungal genetics, cell biology, biophysics and high-resolution microscopy. In his current scientific research, he investigates how living cells dynamically build a variety of macromolecular structures using the same core constituent proteins.
