Chris Morrison has worked with UNC startups for well over a decade, including being the founding CEO of Cell Microsystems, providing market development support for numerous UNC ventures such as AnelleO and Precynge, and more recently teaching for the UNC Graduate School, Kickstart Venture Services and the Kenan Institute’s Scale School.

Chris has over 30 years of sales and business development experience bringing disruptive products to market primarily in health care, life science and medtech. Chris founded his management consulting practice, ViaVerus, in 2003, where he utilizes his Agile Market Entry (AME) sales framework to guide and support startups and establish companies launching disruptive technologies.

Prior to founding ViaVerus, Chris headed sales and marketing for Expression Analysis (EA), a specialty genomics services company, leading the company to profitability in its first year of operation. EA was acquired by Quintiles (now IQVIA). Chris received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Vermont.
