David Lee

PhD Student
School of Medicine

David is a third-year pharmacology PhD candidate conducting research under Dr. Grégory Scherrer. His studies focus on uncovering precision pharmacological approaches for analgesia (pain relief), in hopes to combat the current dual chronic pain and opioid epidemic. Though a scientist at heart, he has always been infatuated with entrepreneurship. His first exposure to this was at the age of 14, when he created a small-scale lawncare business. Now, he is the active COO of Wavlength, which is a platform that enables freelance designers to independently scale their business and showcase their work. He is looking forward to bridging the gap between his diverse science and business endeavors through the Venture Catalyst program, which will play into his career aspirations of starting his own therapeutic-based biotech company.
