About the workshop:
Every entrepreneur needs a plan to create a sustainable business, but many are unsure about how to decide the best model for their venture. Building and understanding your business model is a critical first step in the business planning process. Learn how to design and analyze your business model using the Business Model Canvas. We’ll present several business model concepts that you can use to develop the business model that best suits your particular & unique business. We’ll discuss business models that can be used for both for-profit and non-profit organizations and how to implement them in your startup or social venture.

About the facilitator:
Carl Baumann is a business-planning guru who spent 34 years as an executive with First Citizens Bank and Miller Brewing Company. He has a diverse array of expertise that includes business planning, finance, operations, sales and marketing. He has been a mentor at 1789 Venture Lab since it opened in May of 2013.
