Co-President, Innovate Carolina Student Leadership Team

Jerry Fung is co-president of the Innovate Carolina Student Leadership Team, which serves as a central leadership group that works to identify any remaining gaps in supporting student entrepreneurs. The team is charged with disseminating information about entrepreneurial resources to the student body and collaborating with student organizations and departments to identify various ways to link innovation and entrepreneurship to existing activities.

At Carolina, Jerry is working to earn a double major in interdisciplinary studies (business and urban planning) and economics. He is also pursuing a minor in entrepreneurship. Jerry is also involved in the Bryan Social Innovation Fellowship, which includes mentoring a cohort of six student social ventures, providing them with $1,500 in seed funding, leadership development, community partnership development and strategy.

Jerry is also on the leadership team for the Triangle Chapter of Startup Grind, which hosts monthly fire chat events that bring founders and investors from the Research Triangle Park and across the US. He lead and organized the first annual tech conference in 2017, bringing in more than 300 entrepreneurs and investors.

Jerry’s interests include venture capital, investing in founders to give them the opportunity to create value, product and user experience, and changing habits and behavior through technology and innovation.
