As founder of Copper Seed, Vaishali Shah is making an impact in financial education. Copper Seed helps employees, individuals and families simplify personal finance through education, planning and coaching. The company provides education through organizations such as schools and employers, and also works with individuals and families to aggregate their financial data, help them understand the tools in their money toolkit and put systems in place for steady progress forward.
In growing Copper Seed, Vaishali used Ask an Innovator, an online platform that provides a quick, simple way to get answers about ideas or ventures. Our Innovate Carolina team wanted to know more about Vaishali’s experience with the tool and how she’s been able to leverage resources she’s discovered.
Copper Seed is a financial coaching firm that simplifies finance through education, planning and coaching. We help individuals and small business owners understand their financial situation, determine what’s working and can be improved, and put the systems in place to make financial progress.
Over the last several months, I had three challenges I presented to Ask an Innovator: creating promotional videos, better understanding social media analytics and identifying an effective CRM system.
I learned of Ask an Innovator when Copper Seed participated in the Launch Chapel Hill accelerator program. I was impressed by the personalized responses that ranged from a detailed email back to offers of a Zoom meeting and follow up sessions to help me solve my problem. The innovators had even looked at my website to gain a better understanding of my company.
Each time I reached out to Ask an Innovator, I received insight that not only helped me solve my problem, but often helped me gain a better understanding of things I hadn’t thought of. After all, you don’t know what you don’t know!
Since I’m new to the tool, I haven’t reached back out yet, but I do plan to reach back out to two of the mentors to report on my progress and ask follow-up questions.
I was really surprised by the level of care, enthusiasm and personal advice the mentors provided. I found their guidance to be fitting to my company and needs and appreciate the individualized support.
I HAVE recommended Ask an Innovator to others and have used it multiple times. I’m very grateful for this resource.
