The Design Thinking Outcomes Collaborative is an international, interdisciplinary team of design thinking experts and practitioners from university, industry, and community-based settings.
The Collaborative aims to provide an open-access set of tools and resources that researchers new to design thinking can use to advocate for and implement a human centered design framework into their practice.
During its first year, the Collaborative has established three working groups with the goal of sharing findings in a public forum in spring 2025.
- Articulating the value proposition for human-centered design in research projects
- Defining and operationalizing the standards for rigorous HCD research processes
- Generating proactive and effective communication strategies for HCD work
The Design Thinking Outcomes Collaborative is led by a steering committee based at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Tulane University, and fhi360.
