This session will highlight 3 different investors, all from different firms with different areas of focus. COVID-19 has impacted everyone in some way, including every company and investor. This panel will provide insights into how these investors are approaching and working with their companies during this time, as well as their advice to others on how to think about your own investors and those relationships. This will be an authentic conversation that will highlight varying perspectives, and we will take questions from the audience.

Dr. Shante Williams is the CEO of Black Pearl Global Investments, a $25M venture capital fund. She is a distinguished venture capitalist, business owner, inventor, intellectual property strategist, and private investor. She is involved in business across the industries of health, finance, and real estate.

Robbie Hardy is the founder of xElle Ventures, an early stage Angel Network for women founders by women founders, executives and investors. The xElle Ventures mission is to invest in the ideas, products and services of women.

Jason Caplain is the co-founder and general partner at Bull City Venture Partners, a technology focused venture capital firm. Previously, he co-founded Southern Capitol Ventures. Before that, he was in Red Hat’s finance group through the successful IPO in 1999.
