Carolina Innovations Seminar: New Trends in Economic Development

Join Liz Crabill, Chief Deputy Secretary for the North Carolina Department of Commerce, to hear her perspectives on the importance of university-driven entrepreneurship and workforce development for making an economic impact across the state.Liz will discuss her role at the Department of Commerce and answer key questions like:

  • What role does the Department of Commerce play in the state – and how does Liz help drive the department’s mission?
  • How is the workforce landscape in North Carolina changing as it transitions to an innovation economy?
  • What kinds of skills will best prepare students to be highly adaptable participants in an innovation workforce?
