Luminary Talk with Alan Cline

June 26, 2020 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

A fireside chat series providing insights and advice to our community of entrepreneurs and leaders to help navigate these uncertain times.

About this Event

The Luminary Talk Series brings entrepreneurs, investors, and experts with direct ties and personal investment to the Triangle from across the country to provide insights and advice to our Community of entrepreneurs, leaders, ecosystem partners, and policy makers to help navigate in these uncertain times. These fireside chats with each luminary will be held the last week of each month from June to August and include authentic conversation about resilience and survival, and the onward journey about how to prepare for what may be next. Brought to life by a partnership between organizations across the Triangle (American Underground, HQ Raleigh, and The Entrepreneurship Center at UNC Kenan-Flagler), this series provides a collective effort in helping our Triangle Community get through these unprecedented times stronger together.

Our first talk highlights Alan Cline, Senior Managing Director with Vista Equity Partners, a leading investment firm focused on enterprise software, data, and technology-enabled businesses. Alan Co-Heads the Endeavor Fund, which focuses on mission-critical, high-growth enterprise software businesses with $10 million to $30 million in annual recurring revenue. Alan brings a unique perspective as an investor, but also as the founder of Fandango. He has been on both sides of the table, so he understands how delicate and powerful the relationship between investor and founder can be. He will provide insights into how investors are approaching and working with their companies during this time, as well as his perspective on how to think about your own investors and those relationships. This will be an authentic conversation about resilience and survival, moderated in a fireside chat format, and it will include questions from the audience.

NOTE: a Zoom webinar link and pre-survey will be sent to registered participants a day prior to this session. The survey answers will help guide our discussion, so we really appreciate participants filling it out.
