Research Triangle Park Virtual Reality (RTPVR) brings together people that see the potential of VR tech, like the Oculus Rift. Our goal is to meet others who see the next wave and would like to be a part of that revolution.

The August RTPVR meetup will have presentations by Derek Alan Row of Wild Eyes and David Allen Smith of Wearality.

Wild Eyes is a traveling nature center that is visiting schools, parks and festivals in order to connect people and their national parks via 360 video and Virtual Reality.

Smith is an authority VR, AR, and virtual worlds. He was Chief Innovation Officer at Lockheed Martin, a founder of Red Storm Entertainment, and the designer of the Department of Defense Virtual World Framework. He will be speaking about the next generation of Augmented Reality (AR) headsets.
