Through the madness of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, one thing links us: our shared humanity. Join TEDxUNC to explore identity and intersectionality at our first salon event, Intersections, on February 4th, at 8 PM.

At the salon, speakers from a variety of backgrounds will share stories on the struggles, joys, and cultural quandaries that arise at the intersections of human identity. They will draw on their lived experiences, storytelling abilities, and their professional endeavors involved in combating identity-based injustices. The salon will provide a unique opportunity to prioritize marginalized voices and some visionaries among them.

In inviting these speakers, TEDxUNC and its organizers hope to galvanize conversation on UNC campus, in our community, and thanks to the salon’s virtual platform, across the world. Identity-based hate crimes and injustices are rampant across the world, and in providing a platform for these stories, we hope to promote radical love, radical humanity, and action-oriented change.
