TEDxUNC
February 27, 2016 @ 5:00 pm
Entry is free and will be first come, first serve! Conference organizers recommend arriving at or before 11:30am, when the doors will open! The conference itself will begin at 12pm.
TEDxUNC’s 2016 conference revolves around the idea of bodies. We hope to use this conference as a platform to explore the body from multiple perspectives.
The conference is divided into four subsections:
- We’ll first delve into what we do for our body – inputs that can make our body thrive or struggle.
- After that we’ll probe topics that cover what our body can do for us – how can we use our body as a tool?
- Then we’ll explore some challenges that currently relate to the human body – questions about race, gender, sexuality, and eating disorders that our generation must answer.
- Finally, we’ll look forward to the future of the human body – what advances will we make in the near and far future that will allow us to expand our capacity as a species, and what challenges come with those advances?
