The Nonobvious Invention: Recognizing the Hallmarks of Patentable Bio/Pharma Inventions

November 17, 2014 @ 8:00 pm

Researchers on the brink of discovery, companies with a product in peak development, and clinical partners generate and analyze a mass of data, results, reports, and prototypes. During this seminar, attendees will learn how to sift through this plethora of information and recognize the hallmarks of nonobvious and patentable inventions. This important process could turn an otherwise missed opportunity into royalty payments, increased corporate value, and/or additional funding.

Topics:
• Snapshot of patentable Bio/Pharma inventions
• Translating a discovery into multiple inventions
• Patenting solutions to developmental and clinical issues
• Mining for inventions amid loads of information, samples, data, and reports
• Examples of Bio/Pharma patents that withstood litigation
