Are you a creative problem solver? Have you ever worked on a class project and wondered if it could be turned into a business? If so, The Carolina Challenge Makeathon is for you.

Introducing UNC’s First Annual week-long Makeathon (February 10-16)

The Carolina Challenge Makeathon is a creative, cross-campus competition designed to accelerate innovative ideas into physical and digital prototypes that promote positive social impact. Students will form academically diverse teams of three to five members who will compete in one of two tracks: digital or physical product development.

Teams will have special access to on-campus makerspaces, app labs, workshops and expert mentors to design, reiterate, and enhance their products, business models, and pitches. The Makeathon culminates in a final pitch event where students and other expert judges vote to determine which teams win over $10,000 in cash and other prizes and opportunities.
