Chance Rainwater, PhD
Senior Commercialization Manager, Office of Technology Commercialization
Chance Rainwater is the senior commercialization manager of technology commercialization in the Office of Technology Commercialization. He joined the office in 2015. Previously, he served as a licensing associate in Rice University’s Office of Technology Transfer, where he managed the patenting and licensing of materials and chemical technologies.
He is a member of the Association of University Technology Managers and the Licensing Executives Society. Chance earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Loyola University New Orleans and a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin.
