Jacinta Bailey

Jacinta (Jac) is a Design Thinking and Innovation Fellow at Innovate Carolina, supporting the team’s technical and creative development of projects across North Carolina and the University to expand the utilization of Design Thinking and Innovation for Public Good. A passionate advocate for education equity and community-led development, Jacinta is inspired by Design Thinking’s human-centered approach which actively engages community voices, amplifies equity-based outcomes and grounds research in fail-forward, empathetic & society-centered approaches.

Jac is an international Masters Student in UNC’s Global Studies department, focused on Peace and Conflict Transformation through education. She is a Duke-UNC Rotary Peace Fellow with previous professional experience in Indigenous Education and Community-led development in Australia and Latin America.
