School of Medicine

Madigan is a third-year pharmacology PhD candidate conducting research under Dr. Zoe McElligott. Her dissertation research focuses on the neural circuitry that underlies opioid withdrawal, with the hopes of identifying novel therapeutic targets to treat opioid withdrawal. Madigan’s research has always been driven by the goal of translating basic research findings to the clinic. This has led to her interest in consulting, biomedical industry, and entrepreneurship. Madigan hopes to broaden her skills through the Venture Catalyst Program, aiding her in her long-term goal to bridge the gap between bench scientists and consumers.
