Marshall Fritz

Marshall Fritz is a Ph.D. candidate at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy in the Division of Pharmacoengineering and Molecular Pharmaceutics.  His research targets B-cell engineering to develop novel treatments for infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases, and cancers.  His areas of focus include biotechnology, immunology, and gene therapy. He is interested in beginning a career in venture capital and life science start-ups following graduation in 2024. At UNC, Marshall gained skills at Carolina Research Ventures as a student analyst performing due diligence for life science startups.  Additionally, he worked to develop the “Rx Investment Club: Investing & Financial Literacy Workshop” that focused on expanding financial education to scientific disciplines. Marshall graduated from Georgia Tech in 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and a minor in History.  At Georgia Tech, he led a sustainability initiative for on-campus housing groups. He is excited to learn as a Venture Catalyst Fellow.
