Michaela Copp
Michaela Copp is a third-year biomedical engineering PhD student with scientific training in genome editing and regenerative medicine technology, with an interest in consulting and business development. She actively serves as an engagement manager for UNC-Chapel Hill’s graduate consulting group, the vice president of external affairs for UNC’s graduate business and consulting club (GBCC), and has previously worked as a business development intern at a medical device startup for five months. Her background includes secondary and primary market research, competitive landscape assessment, and developing consulting quality slide decks and visuals. She ultimately wishes to apply her research and consulting background to assess the clinical and commercial potential of novel regenerative therapies in the field of business development. Towards this end, she is excited to become a Venture Catalyst Fellow to further develop her knowledge within the startup space.
