Nate Hathaway
Nate Hathaway, PhD is an associate professor in the Division of Chemical Biology and Medicinal Chemistry in the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, he is also a member of the Center for Integrative Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery as well as the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. His lab studies how chromatin is dynamically regulated in the cell, allowing for varying levels of gene expression or gene silencing. Dr. Hathaway’s research team also has a drug discovery program to develop new small molecules that inhibit epigenetic pathways both for research purposes and as potential future therapeutics.
