Qiongqiong Mei is a fourth-year PharmD candidate at the Eshelman School of Pharmacy. In pharmacy school, she completed an internship at Bayer as a Graduate Regulatory Affairs Intern and worked as a part-time contractor for RTI as an Innovation Consulting Intern. Her interdisciplinary background enabled her to develop a strong interest in bridging the gap between science and business to make an impact and improve patient lives globally. As a Venture Catalyst fellow, she is interested in learning the essential business skills to successfully launch a startup, and hopefully start her own company in the future. Outside of academia, she actively serves as the Director for Professional Development for UNC’s Graduate Business and Consulting Club (GBCC), and recently she started running a 10K.
