First Flight Itineraries: Anatomy of a Startup

November 13, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

First Flight is delighted to host lunchtime programs, “Itineraries” that offer a chance for members of the First Flight community and broader innovation ecosystem to learn about the work of early stage science-focused companies, network and have some fun at the same time! Please feel free to share this with those that you think would be interested.

Our November 13th Itinerary will be our 2nd Quarterly Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) Division of Research, Innovation and Research (DRIVe) meeting. Many of our companies have submitted applications to the EZ-BAA in the past few months. This meeting will serve as an opportunity to share lessons learned.

First Flight member Mark Roberson, Goldfinch Sensor Technologies and Analytics, LLC. will be talking about his companies technology and success with Small Business Administration grant awards.

Goals for the meeting include:

  • Come up with a list of questions and recommendations to pose to DRIVe with the purpose of improving the process
  •  Share with companies insights to better inform their bid/no bid decisions
  •  Leverage experiences to improve probability of proposal wins
